Black Gold has an
opportunity available for a
PRODUCTION MANAGER.
Responsibilities of this position include record
keeping, crop planning, managing planting, fertilizing,
scouting, irrigating, spraying activities & directing
harvest operations as well as off-season activities.
Experience desired in farm equipment operation, general
maintenance, basic agronomy & supervision of employees.
The candidate will be highly motivated, have good
organizational skills & maintain a positive work
environment. Potato experience is not required.
OFFICE ASSISTANT

Hawkinsville, GA
An OFFICE ASSISTANT
position is available at the Black Gold Hawkinsville, GA location. Responsibilities of this
position include record keeping, entering data into
spreadsheets, performing quality control, coding bills and
ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Microsoft Excel
experience is required. This is a full-time, regular position
that is eligible for company provided benefits.
FARM TECHNICIAN
– Winamac, IN or Charleston, MO
Black Gold is looking for qualified
FARM TECHNICIANS at their
Winamac, IN and Charleston, MO locations. This position assists
with managing farm operations, including planting, irrigating,
fertilizing and harvesting of the potato crop. The person in this
position will be responsible for identifying and reporting on the
crop’s growth stages, insects, weeds and diseases. Candidates
should have experience operating a variety of machinery, agriculture
experience and a strong work ethic. Experience working with
potatoes is not required. This is a long term, full-time
position. Opportunity for advancement may be available.
FIELD AGRONOMIST INTERN –

Black Gold has
several positions open at multiple locations for
FIELD AGRONOMIST INTERNS.
This position will assist in raising high quality, profitable potatoes
through data collection, scouting, timely reporting and tissue collection.
The person in this position will become familiar with the stages of potato
plant growth, potato insects, diseases and weeds. They will also
assist with yield and quality monitoring. This position will also
assist with monitoring seed cutting and seed placement during planting.
This position also assists the Farm Manager with irrigation management by
monitoring field moisture, irrigation and rainfall amounts on a daily
basis. Candidates should
be pursuing an agricultural related degree. Experience working with
potatoes is not required. Applicants must be able to receive a
private pesticide applicator’s license. This is a paid internship
occurring at different times throughout the months of January through
August.
